Dr. Erin Ayala delivers keynotes that equip athletes, coaches, and staff with practical strategies to manage pressure, build resilience, and thrive, on and off the field. Because she's not just a psychologist. She's an athlete who's been in their shoes.
You're Seeing It Happen on Your Teams
The signs are everywhere:
💔 Athletes who dominate in practice but freeze in competition
😰 Rising anxiety, burnout, and mental health crises you don't know how to address
🤷 Coaches who care deeply but lack the language and tools to help
📈 Pressure to prioritize mental health, but no clear roadmap for how
The old "tough it out" approach isn't working anymore. And generic motivational speakers who've never worked with athletes? They're missing the mark.
Your team doesn't need another pep talk. They need practical, evidence-based mental performance strategies, from someone who gets it.
That's where I come in.
Meet Dr. Erin Ayala
A Sport Psychologist Who Actually Gets It, Because I've Lived It
Here's the thing: I'm not just a psychologist who studies athletes from the outside. I am one.
I've stood on start lines with my heart pounding. I've pushed through when everything hurt. And yes, I've also fallen apart under pressure and had to figure out how to come back stronger.
As a licensed sport psychologist, Ironman finisher, published author, and founder of Skadi Sport Psychology, I spend my days working with athletes—from 12-year-olds finding their footing to Olympians chasing podiums. I also host the Feisty Women's Performance podcast, bringing evidence-based conversations about women's health and sport to thousands of listeners.
I know what it's like to battle perfectionism, navigate injury, and wrestle with the voice that says you're not good enough. And I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology and years of clinical practice to back up every strategy I share.
My Mission
To give your athletes, coaches, and staff the mental performance tools that actually work, not the fluff, not the "just think positive" nonsense, but real strategies grounded in psychology and sport.
What To Expect You Book Erin to Speak at Your Next Event
This isn't a generic motivational speech. When you bring me in, here's what your organization gets:
✅ Athletes leave with tools they can use immediately not vague inspiration, but concrete strategies for managing anxiety, building resilience, and performing under pressure
✅ Coaches and staff gain practical language to recognize mental health struggles and support their athletes effectively
✅ Content tailored to YOUR context whether it's youth leagues, collegiate programs, national governing bodies, or corporate wellness events, I customize every keynote to fit your sport, culture, and challenges
✅ Evidence-based strategies grounded in sport psychology research and clinical practice—no pseudoscience, no fluff
✅ An engaging, story-driven experience that keeps people hooked and ready to do the work (not zoning out on their phones)
✅ A safe, inclusive environment where all athletes, regardless of identity, ability, or level, see themselves in the conversation
The result?
Your team walks away with a shared language around mental health, practical skills to manage pressure, and a culture shift toward prioritizing athlete wellbeing alongside performance.
